What to expect
Most people see Sunday as the beginning of the week, their last chance to relax, or the day before they go back to work. At CNCC, we view Sunday as a chance to celebrate the goodness of God in our lives and a chance to minister to and encourage others. We see Sunday as a chance to give back to God for all of the blessings He’s poured out through the week. !n doing so, we make sure that our Sunday services are Biblically directed, relationally driven, creatively developed and excellently delivered. This means that each week, our services look completely different. However, there are core elements to every service that you can count on every week.
Open Arms You can always expect a smile, a hot cup of coffee, and a warm welcome from our church. We hold acceptance as a core value at CNCC. We believe that by accepting people of all colors and backgrounds as Christ did, we can build trust. And when trust is created, it leads to influence, and all of this makes our community stronger. When you come to CNCC, we hope you find open doors AND open arms.
What to Wear Come as you are. Be comfortable. We're interested in you, not your wardrobe.
Music We believe that the style of music has no bearing on our worship.
God desires our hearts, not categories of music.
Our Praise Team leads us in contemporary worship, but some weeks we may worship with just a piano. We sing modern worship songs and traditional hymns, recognizing our relevance to our community and celebrating the heritage of our faith.
To Become a CNCC Member CNCC does not want a church of spectators. We want each member to become a vibrant believer with a passion for Jesus, growing in their walk, and serving where He leads. Those who truly do know, live, and share real life! As such, we ask that all interested in joining with CNCC:
- Participate in a four session member's class. This in-depth study will cover the basics of what we believe, baptism, worship, Lord's supper, God's Word, prayer, tithing, giving, service, and ministry. Here each participant will learn what they may expect from CNCC as well as what CNCC would ask of them.
- Pastoral interview: Each prospective member is asked to meet and talk with Pastor Steve.
- Baptism: Baptism is a prerequisite for church membership. Pastor Steve is available to discuss this opportunity with any interested.
